1. Service Description

The Kidney Weight Clinic provides consultant-led, monitored GLP-1 weight management specifically for patients with chronic kidney disease, those on dialysis, or transplant recipients.

2. Clinical Responsibility

Professor Althaf retains clinical responsibility for prescribing decisions. However, patients must provide accurate and honest information regarding their weight, blood results, and medical history.

3. Face-to-Face Assessment

A face-to-face initial assessment is mandatory. No medication will be prescribed based solely on an online form.

4. Monitoring Requirements

Continued prescription is dependent on compliance with our monitoring protocol, including 4-weekly blood tests and regular weight logging. Failure to provide this data will result in the suspension of prescriptions for safety reasons.

5. Fees and Payment

Consultation fees are paid directly to the clinic/hospital (e.g., Spire Norwich). Medication costs are handled separately by our partner pharmacy. This website does not process payments.

6. Cancellation

The service is "Pay as you go." You may cancel your participation in the monitoring program at any time. Fees already paid for completed consultations are non-refundable.

7. Limitation of Liability

While we provide specialist monitoring, the clinic is not an emergency service. In the event of acute illness or medical emergencies, patients must contact 111, 999, or their primary renal unit.
