Serious Complications
Acute Pancreatitis
Inflammation of the pancreas is a rare risk. Symptoms include severe abdominal pain that radiates to the back. If this occurs, medication must be stopped immediately.
Gallbladder Disease
Rapid weight loss can increase the risk of gallstones. Symptoms include pain in the upper right abdomen, especially after a fatty meal.
Severe Dehydration and AKI
